How to reset a RAZ vape

If your RAZ is blinking, not hitting, or seems stuck, it usually just needs a charge and a moment to reset. RAZ disposables do not have a manual reset button, but these steps clear the most common issues.

Reset steps

  1. Put it on the charger. A blinking RAZ is most often a low battery. Plug in USB-C and let it charge for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Unplug and wait. Take it off the charger and let it sit for about 30 seconds. This lets the chip settle and clears a stuck state.
  3. Check the airflow. Make sure no sticker, plug or pocket lint is blocking the mouthpiece or the air intake.
  4. Take a slow, gentle pull. Hard, fast draws can trigger the protection cutoff and make it blink. A slow draw re-engages the coil.
  5. For the VUE pod system, reseat the pod — pull it out and click it firmly back into the battery to restore the connection.

What the blinking means

Blinks when you inhale

Usually low battery — charge it. If it still blinks after a full charge, the device may be at the end of its life.

No vapor, no blink

Check for a blockage in the mouthpiece or airflow, then take a slower pull. On the VUE, reseat the pod.

Blinks while charging

Normal — that indicates it is charging. It stops or changes when full.

Why a RAZ "locks up" — the protections explained

RAZ disposables have no reset button because the chip resets itself. What feels like a frozen device is almost always one of three built-in protections doing its job: a low-battery cutoff (stops firing before the cell over-discharges — fixed by charging), a puff-length cutoff (stops very long drags to protect the coil — fixed by taking shorter, slower pulls), and a connection check on the VUE pod system (won't fire if the pod isn't seated — fixed by reseating the pod). Letting the device sit for 30 seconds after charging gives the chip a clean state, which is the closest thing to a "reset" these devices have.

Is it actually dead? The 4-point check

If it still produces no vapor after all four, the device is spent — either the e-liquid is gone or the cell has reached end of life. Time to replace it; on the VUE, usually just the pod.

FAQ

Does a RAZ vape have a reset button?
No. RAZ disposables and pod systems have no manual reset button. Charging it, reseating the pod (VUE), and clearing any airflow blockage resolves nearly all issues.
Why is my RAZ blinking and not hitting?
Most often it is a low battery — charge it for 15–20 minutes. If it still won't hit after a full charge and a slow pull, it has likely reached the end of its life.
How do I know if my RAZ is dead?
If it blinks or produces no vapor even after a full charge, with clear airflow and (on the VUE) a reseated pod, the device is spent.
