Geek Bar instructions
Geek Bar vapes are draw-activated with a handy display. Here is how to set up and use the Pulse, Mate 60K and Clio Platinum.
First-time setup
- Unwrap and remove any plugs from the mouthpiece and airflow inlet.
- Charge with USB-C until the screen shows full before first use.
- Inhale to vape. Geek Bars are draw-activated — no button needed.
- Read the screen. The display shows battery and e-liquid level, and on some models the active mode.
Pulse modes
The Geek Bar Pulse line offers two modes: a standard mode for maximum puff count, and a boost mode for bigger clouds and a stronger hit (which uses e-liquid and battery faster). Where a model has a mode button, a press switches between them — the screen shows which is active.
Mate 60K & Clio Platinum: pods
The Mate 60K and Clio Platinum 50K are pod kits — a reusable battery plus replaceable flavor pods. When a pod runs out, pull it from the battery and click in a fresh one. The battery recharges over USB-C, so you keep it and only replace the pod.
Charging a Geek Bar safely
Every current Geek Bar charges over USB-C (cable not included with most models). Plug into a standard 5V USB wall adapter or computer port — avoid fast-charge bricks meant for phones, which can stress the cell. Charge until the on-screen battery icon shows full, then unplug; don't leave it charging unattended or overnight. A device that gets noticeably hot while charging should be unplugged and allowed to cool before use.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Most likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No vapor when you inhale | Dead battery or blocked airflow | Charge it, then check the mouthpiece and air intake for stickers or lint and take a slow pull |
| Burnt or harsh taste | E-liquid is running out, or chain-vaping too fast | Slow your draws and space them out; if the screen shows the juice icon near empty, the device (or pod) is spent |
| Weak clouds in standard mode | Normal — standard mode prioritizes puff count | On Pulse models, switch to boost mode for bigger clouds (uses battery and juice faster) |
| Screen is blank | Battery fully drained | Charge for 15–20 minutes; the screen wakes once the cell has enough charge |
| Mate 60K / Clio pod not firing | Pod not seated | Pull the pod out and click it firmly back into the battery |
Storage and lifespan
- Store upright at room temperature, away from direct sun, car interiors and freezing cold.
- Recharge before the battery is fully flat — deep discharges shorten cell life and make the draw inconsistent.
- A Geek Bar is finished when it produces no vapor (or tastes burnt) after a full charge with clear airflow. On the pod kits, that usually just means a fresh pod.
- Dispose of spent devices at an electronics or battery recycling point where available — they contain lithium cells.
