Every RAZ vape is draw-activated — inhale to start, no buttons required for basic use. But each model has different controls for power modes, airflow, and display settings. This guide covers setup, daily use, charging, and screen reading for every current RAZ device: TN9000, LTX 25000, RYL Classic 35K, RX 50K, and VUE 50K.

First Use — All Models

Every RAZ device ships ready to vape, but there are two things you must do before your first puff — skip either one and you'll get a weak hit or burnt taste.

Step 1 — Remove the packaging seals. All new RAZ devices come with a protective sticker over the bottom airflow holes and a silicone plug inside the mouthpiece. Remove both. If the airflow sensor can't detect your breath, the device won't fire.

Step 2 — Wait 2 minutes. After removing the seals, let the device sit upright for 2 full minutes. This allows the mesh coil's cotton wick to absorb e-liquid. Inhaling immediately on a dry wick produces a harsh burnt taste and can permanently damage the coil.

Step 3 — Take a slow first draw. Place the mouthpiece to your lips and inhale gently for 2–3 seconds. The device activates automatically. You'll see the LED screen light up and feel vapor on the exhale. No buttons needed.

Step 4 — Adjust airflow (if desired). Every RAZ device has an airflow control at the bottom. Slide it to expose fewer holes for a tighter, cigarette-like draw, or open it wider for a looser pull with more vapor. Start at the mid-point and adjust from there.

RAZ TN9000 — Instructions

TN9000 Quick Specs
PuffsUp to 9,000
E-Liquid12mL pre-filled
Battery650mAh rechargeable (USB-C)
ModesSingle mode (no switching)
AirflowAdjustable slider (bottom)
Screen0.96-inch HD — battery % + e-liquid level

The TN9000 is the simplest RAZ device. There's no mode button — just inhale and vape. The bottom slider controls airflow. The screen shows two indicators: battery percentage on the left and e-liquid level on the right. When either reaches zero, the device is done.

Airflow: The TN9000 uses a continuous slider rather than discrete levels. Slide it fully closed for the tightest mouth-to-lung draw. Slide it fully open for the loosest pull. For most users, the halfway position provides a balanced hit with good flavor density.

Zero Nicotine version: The TN9000 Zero Nic operates identically. Same screen, same airflow, same activation — the only difference is 0% nicotine e-liquid.

Best for: Beginners, light vapers, and anyone who values simplicity over customization. With 40+ flavor options, the TN9000 offers the widest selection in the RAZ lineup. Shop TN9000 →

RAZ LTX 25000 (DC25000) — Instructions

LTX 25000 Quick Specs
PuffsUp to 25,000 (Normal) / 15,000 (Boost)
E-Liquid16mL pre-filled
Battery800mAh rechargeable (USB-C)
Modes2 — Normal (12W) / Boost (24W)
AirflowAdjustable slider (bottom)
Screen1.77-inch animated HD — battery, e-liquid, mode, wattage

The LTX 25000 introduces the side button. This single button does two things: short press to switch between Normal and Boost modes, and long press (5 seconds) to toggle between Light Mode and Dark Mode on the screen.

How to switch modes: Press the side button once. The screen updates immediately — you'll see the mode label change and the wattage indicator shift from 12W (Normal) to 24W (Boost). Normal Mode gives you up to 25,000 puffs with a smoother, cooler draw. Boost Mode delivers a stronger throat hit and denser vapor at up to 15,000 puffs.

How to switch screen brightness: Press and hold the side button for 5 seconds. The screen toggles between Light Mode (sun icon, brighter — good for daytime) and Dark Mode (moon icon, dimmer — good for nighttime use and battery conservation).

Screen layout: The LTX 25000's larger screen shows four data points: current mode (top left), wattage level (bottom right meter), battery percentage, and e-liquid level. The animated display uses percentage rings — when both rings hit zero, the device is done.

Best for: Daily vapers who want mode flexibility and the widest flavor variety in a high-puff device (48 flavors across Regular, Frozen, Gush, Punch, and Zero Nic editions). Shop LTX 25000 →

RAZ RYL Classic 35K — Instructions

RYL Classic 35K Quick Specs
PuffsUp to 35,000 (Soft) / ~18,000 (Boost)
E-Liquid16.5mL pre-filled
Battery820mAh rechargeable (USB-C)
Modes2 — Soft / Boost (bottom switch)
AirflowAdjustable slider (bottom)
Screen0.96-inch HD — battery + e-liquid arches

The RYL Classic 35K is the only RAZ device that uses a physical switch — not a button — to toggle power modes. Look at the bottom of the device: next to the airflow slider, you'll find a separate toggle switch labeled Soft and Boost.

How to switch modes: Slide the bottom toggle toward "Soft" for a smooth, low-wattage draw that maximizes puff count (up to 35,000). Slide it toward "Boost" for a stronger, warmer hit with denser vapor at roughly half the puff count. The screen shows the current mode.

Screen layout: The RYL uses percentage arches instead of the rings found on the LTX 25000. The left arch shows battery level, the right arch shows e-liquid level. Simpler than the LTX screen, but shows the same essential information.

The chain lanyard: The RYL Classic 35K comes with an attached chain lanyard and a leather-wrapped purse-style body. The lanyard is fixed — not detachable — and serves as both a fashion accessory and a hands-free carrying solution. Loop it around your wrist or hang it from a bag strap.

Best for: Style-conscious vapers who want a device that doubles as an accessory, plus long-lasting performance. Shop RYL Classic 35K →

RAZ RX 50K — Instructions

RX 50K Quick Specs
PuffsUp to 50,000 (Normal) / 25,000 (Boost) / 20,000 (Super Boost)
E-Liquid19mL pre-filled
Battery800mAh rechargeable (USB-C)
Modes3 — Normal / Boost / Super Boost
Airflow9-Level adjustable (slider with detents)
Screen3D Curved LED — battery, e-liquid, mode, airflow, 4 light modes

The RX 50K is the most feature-rich RAZ device. It has more controls than any other model — here's how each one works.

How to switch power modes: Press the mode button (base of device) to cycle through Normal → Boost → Super Boost → Normal. The 3D screen updates with each press. Normal runs at the lowest wattage for maximum puffs. Boost raises power for a stronger hit. Super Boost pushes max wattage for the thickest vapor and sharpest throat hit — use it situationally, as puff count drops to 20,000.

How to adjust airflow: The RX 50K uses a 9-level airflow slider with physical detents — you can feel each level click into place. Level 1 is the tightest (cigarette-like MTL), level 9 is the loosest (restricted direct-lung). Pair tighter airflow with Normal Mode for a traditional cigarette feel, or wider airflow with Super Boost for thick clouds.

How to change screen modes: The 3D curved display supports 4 light modes — Light, Dark, and 2 animation styles. Cycle through them using a long-press on the mode button. Dark Mode reduces glare for nighttime use and conserves battery.

E-liquid monitoring: Unlike the VUE 50K, the RX 50K does not have a transparent tank. E-liquid level is shown digitally on the screen via segmented bars. The display is accurate to within about 5%. When it shows empty, the device stops firing to prevent dry hits.

Best for: Power users who want maximum control over every aspect of the vaping experience, plus the exclusive Dew Edition soda-inspired flavors. Shop RX 50K → | Read full review →

RAZ VUE 50K — Instructions

VUE 50K Quick Specs
PuffsUp to 50,000 (Normal) / 25,000 (Boost) per pod
E-Liquid13mL per pre-filled pod
Battery1,320mAh total (420mAh pod + 900mAh power bank)
Modes2 — Normal / Boost
AirflowAdjustable
ScreenSide HD screen
Pod SystemDetachable pod + reusable power bank

The VUE 50K is the only RAZ device with a two-piece design. It works differently from every other model, so read this section carefully.

How to assemble: The VUE 50K starter kit includes one pre-filled pod (13mL, 420mAh built-in battery) and one reusable power bank (900mAh). Align the contacts on the bottom of the pod with the top of the power bank and press down until it clicks. The connection is magnetic — you'll feel it snap into place.

Using the pod alone: The VUE 50K pod can function independently without the power bank. The pod's built-in 420mAh battery powers it on its own — draw-activated, same as every other RAZ device. This is useful when you want a lighter, more compact device. Puff count will be lower since you're running on the pod battery only.

Using the pod with the power bank: When snapped into the base, the power bank's 900mAh battery supplements the pod's 420mAh battery, giving you 1,320mAh total capacity. The combined unit runs the pod battery first, then draws from the base — you don't need to manage this; it's automatic.

How to switch modes: Press the mode button to toggle between Normal (lower wattage, up to 50,000 puffs) and Boost (higher wattage, up to 25,000 puffs). The screen shows the current mode.

How to swap pods: When the pod is empty (screen shows zero e-liquid or vapor production drops), pull the pod straight up to detach it from the power bank. Dispose of the empty pod responsibly. Snap a new VUE 50K Replacement Pod ($12.99) onto the same power bank. The transparent pod lets you visually confirm the e-liquid level at a glance — no digital readout required.

Best for: Cost-conscious vapers who want the lowest ongoing cost in the RAZ lineup ($0.26/1K puffs after the first kit), plus the flexibility of a transparent, swappable pod system. Shop VUE 50K Kit → | Read full review →

Charging — All Models

Every RAZ device charges via USB-C. The cable is not included with any model — use any standard USB-C cable you have on hand.

ModelBatteryCharge TimeCharges Per Device
TN9000650mAh~30–40 min2–3
LTX 25000800mAh~40–50 min3–5
RYL Classic 35K820mAh~40–50 min4–6
RX 50K800mAh~50–60 min5–8
VUE 50K (pod + base)1,320mAh~60–80 min3–5 per pod

Charging best practices:

Use a standard USB-A to USB-C cable plugged into a low-voltage source (computer USB port, phone charger brick). Avoid plugging into high-wattage laptop chargers (like MacBook 96W adapters) — the device's battery management chip may reject the charge for safety.

Unplug when the screen shows 100%. RAZ devices have overcharge protection, but it's best practice to unplug once fully charged. A full charge from empty takes 30–60 minutes depending on the model — this is fast enough that you can top up during a lunch break.

Do not charge overnight. While the overcharge circuit offers protection, leaving any lithium-ion battery on the charger for 8+ hours is unnecessary and adds stress to the cell. Charge it, unplug it, you're done.

If the device feels unusually hot during charging, unplug it immediately. Mild warmth is normal. Excessive heat suggests a faulty cable or compromised battery — stop using the device.

Reading the Screen — All Models

Every RAZ device with a screen shows two essential data points: battery level and e-liquid level. Here's what each model displays and how to read it.

ModelScreen TypeShowsSpecial Feature
TN90000.96" HDBattery %, e-liquid level
LTX 250001.77" animated HDBattery %, e-liquid %, mode, wattageLight/Dark mode toggle
RYL Classic 35K0.96" HDBattery arch, e-liquid arch, modeArch-style display
RX 50K3D curved LEDBattery %, e-liquid bars, mode, airflow4 light modes + animations
VUE 50KSide HDBattery %, e-liquid level, modeTransparent pod (visual backup)

When to recharge: If the battery indicator drops below 15–20%, charge soon. Vaping on a very low battery can result in weaker hits and inconsistent vapor — the device reduces power output to protect the remaining charge.

When to replace the device (or pod): When the e-liquid indicator shows zero or near-zero, the device will stop firing to prevent a burnt taste from the dry coil. For sealed devices (TN9000, LTX 25000, RYL 35K, RX 50K), this means it's time for a new unit. For the VUE 50K, swap in a new replacement pod.

Pro Tips for Better Performance

Prime every new device. After unboxing, wait 2 minutes before your first puff. This is the single most common mistake new users make — skipping the saturation step leads to a burnt first hit and sometimes permanently damages the coil. Two minutes of patience saves the entire device.

Take slow, steady draws. RAZ devices use draw-activated sensors. Short, sharp inhales may not trigger the sensor consistently. Slow, 2–3 second draws produce the best vapor and flavor. Think of it as sipping, not sucking.

Don't chain vape. Taking rapid consecutive puffs without pause overheats the mesh coil and dries out the wick faster than the e-liquid can resaturate it. Wait 5–10 seconds between puffs. Your flavor stays richer, and the device lasts longer.

Store upright in a cool place. Storing the device on its side or in direct sunlight can cause e-liquid to shift and leak into the airflow channel. Upright storage at room temperature keeps everything where it should be.

Clean the mouthpiece weekly. Pocket lint, dust, and condensation accumulate in the mouthpiece over time. Wipe it with a dry cloth or blow gently through it to clear any buildup. A clean mouthpiece means cleaner flavor.

Match your airflow to your mode. General guideline: tighter airflow (fewer holes exposed) pairs well with lower-power modes for a concentrated MTL hit. Wider airflow pairs with higher-power modes for a fuller draw. Experiment to find your combination, but this starting point works for most users.

Where Are RAZ Vapes Made?

RAZ is a brand under GeekVape (also spelled Geekvape), one of the largest vape manufacturers in the world. GeekVape was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, China. All RAZ devices — TN9000, LTX 25000, RYL Classic 35K, RX 50K, and VUE 50K — are designed and manufactured in GeekVape's own production facilities in Shenzhen.

A few things worth knowing about the manufacturing side:

GeekVape is not a white-label operation. Unlike many disposable vape brands that outsource manufacturing to contract factories, GeekVape owns its production lines, R&D labs, and quality control processes. RAZ devices are made in the same facilities that produce Geek Bar — GeekVape's other major disposable brand. This shared infrastructure is why both brands use similar coil technology, screen systems, and battery management chips.

US distribution is handled domestically. While manufacturing happens in China, RAZ products sold in the US are imported through GeekVape's authorized distribution network and warehoused in domestic facilities (including a warehouse in Pomona, California). When you order from VapesOnlineShop, your device ships from within the United States — not directly from overseas.

Quality control includes multiple checkpoints. GeekVape applies ISO-certified manufacturing processes to RAZ production. Each device undergoes e-liquid fill verification, battery safety testing, coil resistance checks, and draw sensor calibration before packaging. The scratch-off authentication codes on every RAZ device are tied to this production QC process — each code corresponds to a specific production batch.

The e-liquid is also formulated in-house. RAZ's e-liquid uses USP-grade vegetable glycerin (VG), propylene glycol (PG), food-grade flavorings, and nicotine salt (or no nicotine for zero-nic editions). The formulation is done by GeekVape's flavor lab, not sourced from a third-party e-liquid supplier. For the full ingredient breakdown, see our RAZ Vape Ingredients page.

How Long Do RAZ Vapes Last?

This depends on two things: which model you have and how much you vape. Here's a realistic breakdown based on actual usage, not just puff count marketing.

ModelRated PuffsLight Use (150/day)Moderate (300/day)Heavy (500+/day)
TN90009,000~8 weeks~4 weeks~2.5 weeks
LTX 25000 (Normal)25,000~5.5 months*~12 weeks~7 weeks
LTX 25000 (Boost)15,000~3.3 months*~7 weeks~4 weeks
RYL 35K (Normal)35,000~7.5 months*~16 weeks~10 weeks
RX 50K (Normal)50,000~11 months*~23 weeks~14 weeks
VUE 50K (Normal)50,000/pod~11 months*~23 weeks~14 weeks

*Theoretical maximum. In practice, battery degradation and e-liquid oxidation mean devices used over 2–3 months may experience reduced flavor quality in later weeks. We recommend treating any device lasting beyond 6 weeks as approaching end-of-life.

Why puff counts are estimates, not guarantees. Manufacturer puff counts assume a standardized 1-second draw at a fixed wattage. Real-world usage varies dramatically: longer draws consume more juice per puff, Boost/Super Boost modes use e-liquid 40–75% faster than Normal mode, and environmental factors (temperature, altitude) affect vapor production. A "25,000-puff" device used exclusively in Boost mode delivers closer to 15,000 actual puffs.

Battery lifespan vs. e-liquid lifespan. In most cases, the e-liquid runs out before the battery dies — which is exactly how disposable vapes are designed. The battery is sized to outlast the tank, so you never have juice left but no power to vape it. However, if you vape in low-power modes and charge frequently, some users report the battery wearing out (longer charge times, shorter sessions) before the last 10–15% of e-liquid is consumed. This is rare but possible on very high-puff devices like the RX 50K.

How to make your device last longer: Use Normal/Soft mode as your default (Boost for occasional use only). Take 2–3 second draws instead of long 5+ second pulls. Wait 5–10 seconds between puffs. Store upright at room temperature. These habits can extend real-world puff count by 20–30% compared to aggressive usage patterns. For more tips, see our Pro Tips section above.

How do I turn on a RAZ vape?

All RAZ vapes are draw-activated — simply inhale through the mouthpiece to turn the device on and produce vapor. There's no power button. Before your first use, remove the bottom airflow sticker and mouthpiece plug, then wait 2 minutes for the coil to saturate.

How do I switch between Normal and Boost mode?

On the LTX 25000 and RX 50K, press the side/mode button once to cycle between modes. On the RYL Classic 35K, slide the physical toggle switch at the bottom of the device. The TN9000 has only one mode and doesn't require switching. The VUE 50K has a mode button on the pod or base.

What does the bottom switch on a RAZ vape do?

The bottom switch is the airflow control slider. Sliding it open exposes more airflow holes for a looser, cloud-producing draw. Sliding it closed tightens the airflow for a cigarette-like mouth-to-lung hit. It does NOT turn the device on or off — that's a common misconception. The device is always draw-activated.

Can I refill a RAZ vape with my own e-liquid?

No. All RAZ devices use sealed, pre-filled e-liquid tanks that cannot be opened or refilled. When the e-liquid runs out, dispose of the device responsibly (or swap pods on the VUE 50K). Attempting to open or refill a RAZ device voids any warranty and risks damaging the internal components.

My RAZ vape isn't hitting — what should I do?

First, check the basics: did you remove the bottom airflow sticker and mouthpiece plug? Is the battery charged? Is the airflow slider open (not fully closed)? Try a slow, steady 3-second draw. If none of that works, the device may need a reset — see our dedicated RAZ Vape Reset & Troubleshooting Guide for step-by-step solutions.

How long does a RAZ vape last?

It depends on the model and your usage. The TN9000 (9,000 puffs) typically lasts 1–2 weeks for a moderate vaper. The LTX 25000 lasts 3–4 weeks. The RYL 35K lasts 4–5 weeks. The RX 50K and VUE 50K (50,000 puffs each) can last 5–7 weeks in Normal Mode. Heavy vapers will go through devices faster. See our RAZ Vape Price Guide for monthly cost estimates.

Where are RAZ vapes manufactured?

RAZ vapes are designed and manufactured by GeekVape in Shenzhen, China — the same company and facilities that produce Geek Bar. GeekVape owns its production lines (not outsourced to contract factories) and applies ISO-certified quality control. US distribution is handled domestically, with products warehoused in California. For more detail, see the Where Are RAZ Vapes Made section above.

How many weeks does a RAZ vape last?

At moderate use (300 puffs/day): TN9000 lasts ~4 weeks, LTX 25000 ~12 weeks (Normal mode), RYL 35K ~16 weeks, and RX/VUE 50K ~23 weeks. Boost modes cut these numbers roughly in half. Real-world results vary by draw length, mode usage, and vaping habits. See the How Long Do RAZ Vapes Last section for a full breakdown by usage level.
